Writing to fellow Weird Tales contributor Clark Ashton Smith, Lovecraft mentions his famous work “The Whisperer In the Darkness,” and his passion for science fiction: “I am still obsessed by the notion that one of the most extremely powerful of all tales would be an utterly realistic thing dealing with the sensations of a man deposited without a great amount of warning in another world”

Public Library in Lovecraft's Era

Washington Street, seems to be taken prior to the 20's. I'm beginning to include Providence Streets in the index, in case anyone wants to use those images for their gaming or story settings.
