Lovecraft's Legacy: 1965 The Unhumans

This anthology is rather obscure to Chrispy. I had to do some research to find out about a few of these folks.

The cover is easy, it's a copy from Francisco de Goya, Prado, Madrid called "Saturn Devouring Children" (repeated on rear cover).

A featured writer is J. B. Priestly ( 09/13 /1894 – 08/14 /1984) English writer. I located a photo of the late author.

John Collier (click here for more) (May 3, 1901-April 6, 1980) was a British-born writer best known for his short stories, many of which appeared in The New Yorker during the 1930s, '40s, and '50s. They were collected in a 1951 volume, Fancies and Goodnights, which is still in print. Individual stories are frequently anthologized in fantasy collections.

The seller adds: THE UNHUMANS edited by Marvin Allen Karp, published by Popular Library in 1965. Includes THE FATHER-THING by Philip K. Dick and stories by Clark Ashton Smith, H.P. Lovecraft, Ambrose Bierce, John Collier and others.

Lovecraft's story is The Thing On the Doorstep.

As to Marvin Allen Karp, all I can find is that he is listed as a "Weird Anthologist".
