Controversial Lovecraft

In Joshi's Dreamer and a Visionary, it discusses HPL's debate with Charles D Isaacson over the racial issue of (circa) 1915. Isaacson demolishes Griffith's film. Lovecraft, who had not yet seen it, praised the book and dramatic play from which it derived: The Clansman, Thomas Dixon, 1905. Many words were spilled by Mr. Lovecraft, and decades later he repudiated his opinion.
