Lovecraft's 1907 Physics Class?

{Chrispy found this in an old "How to Teach High School" Textbook. Uncertain if this was Lovecraft's teacher or not.} Link tied to today's blog title.

One thing to consider ae the equations mentioned. They are essentially applied algebraic equations, with the variables being physical constants rather than arbitrary numbers. Lovecraft indicated that he struggled with algebra and advanced mathematics, yet he did well in physics which is a mass of memorized and applied equations - even in the early 1900's.
